Sound Bath at The Unity Center San Diego
Self-care is essential for mental health and overall well-being. Using sound healing as vibrational medicine helps to calm the mind and awaken the body’s recovery process by creating total relaxation, the ultimate act of self-care.
During this meditative practice, vibrations fill the space creating a cocoon sound as you relax on a yoga mat or seated in a chair. Deep relaxation is one of the most significant benefits you will receive as the sounds permeate your system, activating the body’s system of self-healing and returning it back to harmony. The sounds from the instruments produce a calming effect that slow down the brainwaves for restoration and rejuvenation.
Like with most alternative healing modalities, everyone’s experience is different, and new things may come up in each session. Most people will feel peaceful during a sound healing; some might have visualizations, receive creative downloads, or have an emotional breakthrough.
Benefits of Sound Bath:
- Reduces stress and anxiety
- Balances and clears the mind
- Lowers heart rate and blood pressure
- Supports mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being
- Triggers the brain to chemically release natural opiates
- Engages the parasympathetic nervous system, initiating calm and peace
Beginner friendly, open to all levels and no experience necessary!
Notes: Bring a yoga mat and additional props for comfort such as a cushion, blanket and eye pillow to limit distractions.
This is a meditation and to avoid disruptions the doors will be locked at 6:15p.
