You may be a teacher, health care professional, therapist, body/energy worker, or simply a curious student with a desire to incorporate sound into your personal practice, classes or events.
This 1-day Sound Healing Immersion is led by Jen Innocenti, followed by apprentice opportunities led by Jeny Dawson after you've completed the training. Students will study the origins of Sound Healing, what sound is, how sound impacts our physical, emotional and energetic body, and how Sound Healing can be used to calm the mind and body, bringing us into a state of homeostasis; the ideal condition for self-healing and acceptance. Your instructors will demonstrate how to play a wide variety of Sound Healing instruments including crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, Tibetan bowls, Native American flute and more.

Sound Healing San Diego
Sound Healing is used to alleviate symptoms caused by many conditions, including anxiety, PTSD, dementia, cancer, behavioral and psychiatric disorders, and much more. Sound also helps lower stress, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and the risk of heart conditions such as arterial disease and stroke, while improving sleep quality and overall well being. Sound healing uses sound frequency to deepen meditation, stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, and create an environment of healing and relaxation for listeners.
By gently listening to sound, listeners transition from a beta brainwave state (alert, active) to meditative, calm and relaxed alpha and theta brainwave states. Additionally, sound is used to stimulate the vagus nerve, up-regulating the parasympathetic nervous system. This allows the heart rate and breathing rate to slow down, triggering to the body to relax and arrive in the present moment. Ultimately, sound therapy supports our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, leaving us feeling balanced and refreshed.
