25 Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training (Level 2) – La Jolla
Yin Yoga Teacher Training is a 3-day intensive led by Jeny Dawson of Zen Soul Balance in La Jolla at Buddhi Yoga. This course is designed for students who have at least 25 hours of training in the Paul Grilley Yin Yoga teaching model; with an understanding of a functional yoga practice, skeletal variations, the guiding sutra “14-10-7”, and the basics of how Sound Healing complements the practice.
After you’ve been introduced to the fundamentals presented in Yin Yoga Foundations (Level One), the Level 2 Training will expand your teaching strategies, lift your confidence and unlock your creativity in sequencing, verbalizing cues, and pose modifications. Rich with hands-on practical experience, this is the next step to gaining a solid foundation as a Certified Yin Yoga Instructor. Post-training, you will have the option to shadow and assist Jeny as her apprentice at two Yin Yoga and Sound Healing classes within a three-month range.

What will I learn in Level 2 Yin Yoga Teacher Training?
This training dives deep into the Paul Grilley approach for teaching functionally using the 5 archetypal asanas that are the foundation of a Yin Yoga practice. Building on what you learned in the Level 1 Training, there will be a review on the importance of practicing with intention by paying attention. You will be provided with a toolkit of techniques to share with your students to guide them through a safe and effective Yin Yoga practice through hands-on practical experience.
This course will also highlight the complementary modality of Sound Healing and its reciprocal effects within a Yin Yoga practice. Students will have the opportunity to review Sound Healing 101 with Jen Innocenti, and learn the art of multitasking; pairing instruments with asanas. You will gain a general understanding of how and why Sound Healing has the capacity to positively impact and heal on multiple levels.
